We are a Lutheran Church in the City of Jena. Our motto is: "Experience God – Share Lives" ("Gott erfahren – Leben teilen"). We want our Sunday services, our weekday events and small groups to offer spaces for spiritual encounters with God. And we want to live in fellowship with each other, welcoming newcomers and including people from different backgrounds and different walks of life.

Morning services
Sunday 9:30h (German language only) and 11:00h (German language with English live interpretation)
The Sunday morning services are based on the Lutheran liturgy. They include hymns from the rich traditions of the church, but also modern elements and worship songs. The congregation is a mix of all ages, including lots of children, but also senior citizens. For toddlers and children, there is a children's programme (Sunday school in two age groups) that the kids attend, following a joint start of the service. After the church service, there is time for coffee and conversations.
Aufwind-Gottesdienst
Sunday 18:00h (German language with English live interpretation)
The Sunday night service is contemporary worship in an informal, lively atmosphere. The service is led by volunteers, even though for the sermon we usually rely on one of our pastors. We love to include different perspectives so that Christ is reflected in each of them. The congregation consists mainly of university students and young professionals, but you will also meet teenagers and people beyond their 30s or 40s. There is a live stream on YouTube – have a look to get an impression, or join in if you are not in Jena right now!
For those present on site, there is the opportunity for snacks and conversation after the service.

We are located at Hügelstraße 6, 07749 Jena (Google maps). The nearest station is Paradiesbahnhof. Please note that there is very limited parking around the church.
